Kelly Ryan Bailey
Head of Growth + Marketing
Kelly Ryan Bailey is an entrepreneur, speaker, advisor, investor, and mama of three. Her almost 20 year professional journey has focused on evangelizing skills as the currency of the labor market and using data and technology to create innovative skills-based hiring and learning solutions for individuals, companies, educators, governments, and initiatives. Beyond her role as Head of Growth + Marketing at AdeptID, she is also the founder & CEO of Skills Baby, the home of her podcast ‘Let’s Talk About Skills, Baby‘, that explores life skills leaders use in their journey to success and global innovations in skills-based hiring & learning, and Got Skills?, a podcast that guides individuals on how to understand their skills and communicate them. Kelly also holds an advisory role with The Adecco Group’s Innovation Foundation, a social innovation lab that creates practical solutions to increase employability of underserved populations, is the Chief Innovation Officer of both World in 2050 and Diplomatic Courier, a Fellow at Salzburg Global Seminar, an non-profit organization with a mission to challenge current and future leaders to shape a better world, a Founding Partner of Equity Cities, a consultancy focused on creating prosperous and inclusive economies, and also co-owns a number of other companies, including: Growth Network Podcasts, a social impact podcast production company, FOS Capital, an impact investment fund, and World in 2050, a think-tank aimed at solving the world’s biggest problems.
Prior to her current positions, she was the Global Skills Evangelist at Emsi Burning Glass, where she focused on facilitating the change to a skills-based hiring and learning economy through open skills data standards, innovative products and services, and Global initiatives and partnerships. She also ran the operations of her family bakery, The Scone Pony, co-founded an online clothing boutique, worked with two other labor market analytics firms, Burning Glass Technologies and EmployOn, consulted with education institutions including, Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies and City University of New York, and placed IT consultants for three major financial institutions through a subsidiary of Randstad.
